Hello Everyone!

We are changing things up a bit for our Second Saturday Sampler weekend block kit pick up.

We will no longer be doing the DRIVE THRU pick up. Instead, we will be giving you one whole week to come and pick up your block kit and the opportunity to get it free. You can stop by the shop anytime between Monday, (today) July 6th and Saturday, July 11th.

You will still need to show us your finished block in order to get your block kit free. If you haven't finished your block, you can pick up your block kit for the $5 fee, anytime.

The option of doing curbside pick-up or having your block kit shipped to you is still available if you are uncomfortable coming into the shop.

We hope this new change will give you more flexibility in picking up your block kits.

The Christmas Red fabric for Block 6/June is still on backorder, so we will be doing Block 8 this month.

I sure am loving the orange in this block. This is Mango, another wonderful, vibrant color from the Zen Chic Spotted line.

BLOCK 8

The instructions for Block 8 are pretty straight forward. This block is really good practice for sewing precise 1/4” seams on triangles…or if you are better off with a little bit of wiggle room... I sewed my pieces together for the hourglass blocks using a very scant (that means, a tiny bit smaller) 1/4” seam allowance. I wanted to be able to trim my block to 4 1/2” in case the block got a little bit off (which happens to me all the time, no matter how careful I am!)
You still have to be as precise as possible, but this gave me a teeny tiny bit to trim off to make it perfectly square.

Many of you have been asking about when the finishing kits will be available.
We will start taking pre-orders for the finishing kits starting in August. There will be an official email sent out next month with all the information.

Here are the winners of the door prizes this month! Congratulations!

I sure hope you are all staying safe and healthy. I miss you all and hope that things get better in the world soon!

Hugs,
Natalie :)
